Important Mechanical & Installation Notes

• Balance Water Chemistry First: Before starting up your new salt cell, ensure your pool water chemistry parameters (pH, Total Alkalinity, Calcium Hardness, and Stabilizer/Cyanuric Acid) are completely balanced according to standard recommendations.

• Add Salt Gradually: If your pool requires more salt to reach the optimal operating range (typically 2,700 to 3,400 ppm), distribute it evenly around the perimeter of the pool with the salt cell turned off. Allow the salt to dissolve completely for 24 hours before powering on the chlorinator cell.

• Hand-Tighten Unions Only: When plumbing the new cell into your return line, ensure the internal rubber O-rings are properly seated. Hand-tighten the union nuts firmly; do not use heavy channel locks or pipe wrenches, as overtightening can crack the plastic housing.
