Key Features

  • Restore Engine Performance: Replaces your aged or faulty carburetor to give your engine new power, reliable throttle response, and smooth running conditions that meet OEM specifications.

  • Pre-Adjusted & Live-Tested: Each unit is finalized and tested on a live-running engine. Under normal conditions, it is ready to run out of the box with minimal to no additional adjustment required.

  • Automatic Transmission Ready: Specifically calibrated and configured to work seamlessly with vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission.

Fitment & Ignition Configuration Guide

Specifically designed for 6-cylinder Ford & Mercury vehicles equipped with 170 CID (2.8L) or 200 CID (3.3L) Inline-6 engines.

Compatible Models

  • Ford: Mustang, Fairlane, Falcon (1963–1969)

  • Mercury: Comet (1963–1969)

⚠️ Crucial Distributor System Identification

Please strictly verify your vehicle's distributor setup before ordering, as this carburetor series is split into two distinct ignition configurations within these year ranges:

  • 1963–Early 1967 (Load-O-Matic Version): Specifically calibrated to work with the factory Load-O-Matic (LOM) dual-vacuum advance distributor setup.

  • Late 1967–1969 (Non-Load-O-Matic Version): Calibrated to work with standard, conventional single-vacuum advance distributors.

Package Includes

  • 1 x Replacement Carburetor Assembly (Note: All included internal components and linkages are exactly as shown in the product pictures; mounting gaskets and mounting bolts are not included).

🔧 Important Installation & Tuning Notes

  • Fuel System Inspection: Water, dirt, and old rust-laden gasoline will ruin a brand-new carburetor immediately. If your vehicle has been stored for an extended period, you must thoroughly flush or replace the fuel lines and fuel tank before bolting this unit on.

  • Fragile Fuel Inlet: Handle the fuel inlet line with extreme care during installation. The carburetor body is cast from a soft metal alloy and can strip easily if cross-threaded or over-tightened.

  • Automatic Choke Fine-Tuning: Due to local climate and temperature variations, the black automatic choke coil spring housing may require minor rotational adjustments upon initial startup to ensure the damper blades open and close to the correct position.

  • Visual Comparison: Please carefully compare your vehicle's original carburetor body, linkage setup, and vacuum ports against our product photos to ensure a perfect match prior to purchase.

  • Buyer Responsibility: It is the customer's responsibility to buy the right product variant for their distributor setup. If you are not sure which version your engine requires, please contact us prior to finalizing your order.
