The middle of bracket has an additional drilling hole for mounting the bracket more tightly on your mower. But the additional hole is optional, if you need, you may need to drill a hole on your mower with a 7/16'' driller to mount the bracket. If you needn't, you can still mount the bracket without drilling the third hole.
