The VVT solenoid valve is not only the hydraulic slide valve of the VVT mechanism, but also the mounting bolt of the VVT phaser.
Generally speaking, there is no difference in appearance and structure between the intake and exhaust VVT solenoid valves, and they can be used interchangeably, but it should be noted that repeated disassembly and assembly may cause thread damage.
In order to prevent the internal oil passage from leaking, the VVT solenoid valve should be replaced after disassembly and assembly several times.
Most of the faulty parts of the VVT system are oil-controlled solenoid valve failures, and the oil-controlled solenoid valve failures are almost all the moving spool valve stuck.
the reason
When the engine starts and stops, the position of the oil control solenoid valve should be at the maximum delay,
When the engine is idling, the position of the oil control solenoid valve should also be at the maximum delay.
If foreign matter (metal particles, sludge and other impurities) in the oil circuit enters the oil control solenoid valve, it will cause the moving slide valve to get stuck in the advance position.
Dispose of
Disassembly, inspection, cleaning and maintenance.
Replace the oil-controlled solenoid valve (the resistance check does not match and the fault cannot be eliminated after cleaning)
